On one of the art forums I'm a member of, we're having a drawing event. Each week, a different artist posts some photos. We then choose between the photos, which one we'd like to use to create a drawing or painting. We have two hours to complete the project, then we have to stop and scan or photograph what we've done.
The photo I chose this week, was of a jockey and a race horse, putting on the brakes. I worked on this an hour and quit, as my new Artist's Magazine is here and I'm going to space out tonight, reading some of it...:)
I was happy to get this much finished in an hour, but I admit my jockey looks pretty funny. People aren't my forte, but I'm trying to learn something.... maybe the next one will be better! I used copy paper and a bic click pencil to do this. I like the way the graphite smears around on the slick paper.
